THE R’S / NAT GEO MUSIC EDITION
Friends, family, significant others, and whomever else it may concern…greetings from your beloved party instigators. On this day, all the way from across the pond in Milan, Italy to our unassuming Hoboken, NJ doorstep, we have Nat Geo Music signees The R’s here for an international dip. With the pre-show rituals underway, we’re dealing out our unique brand of Live At The Loft hospitality for our Italian brethren. We’ve got a good collection of friendly faces ready to take in the tunes, so without further ado…we present The R’s.
The trio from Milan (Pierluigi, Pietro, & Gaetano) comes to us equipped with a wealth of rock references, a bare bones approach to creating timeless sounds, and accents heavy with Italian heritage. We’ve taken care to create an atmosphere befitting of a band that draws from influences as varied as early UK punk, classic American rock, and traditional Italian musicianship. From studio to stage, The R’s take tonight’s guests on a musical tour of sorts. In between bouts of wicked string strumming and drum beating, they take time to express their affinity for “juicy girls”, much to the delight of the night’s female onlookers. Gotta love that…
Once the boys taper off their final note, it’s time to toast to the occasion and introduce ourselves to a few strangers. Afterwards, we take things upstairs to the wicker sofa to exchange pleasantries and get some answers from our newfound buddies. The R’s share their thoughts on playing for audiences in different parts of the world, low fuss recording sessions, and the many musical landscapes of their native land. With that, it’s time to see our guests off into the night, hoping all leave with an interesting story of the night to tell. This is Live At The Loft…
