517 JEFFERSON STREET, HOBOKEN NJ
We like being located in the most unlikely place. Hoboken, NJ is the home of Baseball, Maxwells Tavern, Fiore’s Deli and every Italian’s favorite actor/singer, Mr. Frank Sinatra. While many of our friends in the five boroughs think we’re light years away from them, Hoboken is like Williamsburg but on the other side of Manhattan. You can get here using the #126 Bus from Port Authority Terminal or using the PATH trains which run 24/7 x 365.
PATH Train stations are located on 34th street under the Manhattan Mall, 23rd and 6th avenue, 14th and 6th avenue, 9th and 6th avenue, Christopher Street and Hudson and at the World Trade Center. There are several PATH trains but the one you want will have an HOB over the doors and is indicated with bright blue lights at the front and rear of the train. Take the train to the last stop – you will see large “H” markings when you pull into the terminal which means you’re in the right place.
Once you’ve ascended to ground level, you have two options to get you to the Loft. You can either grab a $6 taxi (yes, they take multiple passengers and no, you should never pay more than $6) or hit the pavement. The walk to the Loft takes anywhere from 8-12 minutes depending on how fast you walk.
There is also a NJ Transit bus (#126) from Port Authority Terminal. Request a stop a 6th street, which plants you on “Washington Street” and from there it’s an 6-10 minute walk west.
DRIVING BY CAR?
If you plan on driving, we very highly recommend that you consider a parking lot. Parking here is as tough as parking in NYC and especially hard on Friday & Saturday nights. There are many parking lots but the Sylvan Jefferson Garage is the closest. It is located between 8th and 9th street on Jefferson (800 Jefferson Street).
