For those of you hearing his name for the first time, Chico Mann blends Afrobeat and 80′s Freestyle into a sound he calls ‘Afro-Freestyle’.
His work with Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra has put him on enough stages to know what works when performing live, hence Chico’s live setup includes a Novation Zero MkII Midi Controller, an UltraNova Synth and a pair of Launchpads. For Novation’s latest remix competition, they’ve teamed up with Novation artist and LATL regular, Chico Mann to give you a chance to win Chico Mann’s entire Novation gear setup.
You can win Chico Mann’s entire Novation setup by remixing his track ‘I Feel It’. Chico Mann and the Novation team will judge all entries and create a shortlist, which then goes to a public vote. All you need to do is download the stems and get reworking. You can use as many of the parts as you like, but you must use the components of the track in some way.
