ERIMAJ is the soul-child of prodigious drummer Jamire Williams.
It’s an experimental alchemy of traditional and acid jazz, classic and contemporary soul, funk, and the hip-hop influences of beatminers like Madlib & J Dilla.
The sound is further driven by the rare vocals of Chris Turner, keys and trombone of Corey King, and rounded off with guitar strings and standing bass. There’s also an intangible fuzz that we’re catching a contact from tonight. There’s a romantic movement brewing and the batting lashes of the room’s fair maidens are evidence.
